EDUCATION IS FREEDOM- KEEP GIRLS IN SCHOOL TO END CHILD MARRIAGE.

Education is the greatest tool we can use to End Child Marriage and we have made it our mission to advocate for the Right to Education for every Girl regardless of their economic status. Child Marriage is a complex issue rooted in Gender inequality and the belief that women and girls are inferior to men and boys. Poverty and lack of education make its worse and that’s why we call upon world Leaders to intentionally invest in education for Girls. 

If all girls completed secondary education, child marriage would plummet by two-thirds. Education protects girls’ and women’s rights and is the foundation for healthy and equitable societies. We need to speak up, but we also need to teach our young women and girls to speak up so that they can demand for their right to Education. Empowering and training them to speak up is the best we can do today. Our School and community clubs give us the opportunity to build their self esteem and the leadership skills.

“We have seen parents who believe that as soon as a girl completes her primary education, she is then ready for marriage. This is very wrong and that is why we must involve parents in our programs so that they can also appreciate the benefits of educating Girls. “

Girls should be supported and given platforms to become leaders and role models to their young sisters and friends at home. They should be able to make their own informed choices with no dictatorship on whom they are supposed to marry and the number of Children they should have:
