SESSIONS WITH UNIVERSITY INTERNS – THEIR ROLE IN ENDING CHILD MARRIAGE

We always honoured to connect with different University students during their internship period. The Inspiring session on child marriage & rights of children, highlighting the vital role of youth in advocating for education for all and combating child marriages/teenage pregnancies. It important to have the youth as part and parcel of the journey towards ending Child marriage because young people have a way of listening to each other and holding each other accountable. Together, we’re building a brighter future for generations to come.

Everyone can do something to make a difference in the lives of young people and it’s important that university students Choose to be part of the Solution: The Interns at Touch the Heart Uganda are set to do everything within their means to contribute towards the campaign to End Child Marriage. Many are ready to speak to their sisters and cousins about the dangers associated with the practice. Others are ready to report any case related to child sexual abuse and exploitation.

We also talked to students about the positive use of social media platforms so that they can be able to influence their peers positively and create awareness about the dangers associated with teenage pregnancy and child marriage.

YES. Together We can End Child Marriage and make this world  Better place for ALL CHILDREN.
