CELEBRATING TRANSFORMATION AT THE KAJUMBA ECO-CONNECT CENTER.

On Saturday, we were honored to join Assorted Trends Africa at their 4th graduation ceremony and the official opening of their new home in Kyampisi, Kayunga district, the Kajumba Eco-connect Centre. This milestone is an opportunity and growth for young people, especially girls who now have a safe space to learn and build brighter futures.

At the event, we proudly celebrated 45 young women, most of them teenage mothers who graduated with certificates in skills such as tailoring, fashion and design and computer literacy. Their achievement is a powerful reminder that giving birth is not the end of education. These girls refused to give up on their dreams and through resilience and determination, they have proven that with the right support no dream is too far to reach.

Our team leader, Hope Nankunda, encouraged the graduates to use the internet responsibly as a tool for learning and innovation. She highlighted the importance of showcasing their creativity online, promoting their products and amplifying the life changing work of Assorted Trends Africa. In her words, the digital space, when used wisely, can open doors of opportunity and help protect young people in today’s world.

We also applauded the parents who stood firm against early marriage and instead chose to support their daughters’ education. Their decision is an investment in lasting transformation not only for their families but also for their communities. By empowering girls through education, they are breaking cycles of poverty and shaping stronger and more resilient societies.

The Kajumba Eco-Connect Centre now stands as a place of learning and empowerment. Each certificate awarded is a symbol of courage and the belief that empowered girls can transform their communities. Congratulations to all the graduates, your strength inspires us all and we are proud to walk this journey of transformation together with Assorted Trends Africa.
