OUR MISSION

To provide a platform for Teenagers’ engagement on a wide range of issues that impact on their lives and promote proper transition from childhood to adulthood.

Raising Teenagers Uganda

a non- profit organization mainly working towards creating a safe space for engagement of adolescents to discuss and debate issues affecting them. We empower them with skills and knowledge on assertiveness, communication skills as well as sexual and reproductive health education. Offering them career guidance and managing their dreams and aspirations is our mandate.

OUR 2022 HIKING EVENT – MT.SABINYO in KISORO DISTRICT

Every year since 2017, we have been organising annual Hiking events to different destination with the purpose of creating awareness and break stigma around Menstruation. This year in July, we shall take our Hikers in South-Western Uganda- Kisoro District. We are calling upon all well wishers to join this important campaign so that we can together enable young girls to menstruate with dignity and respect. We are happy to Host You and You will love the experience. The cost for Hiking is 400,000 for Nationals and $180 for Internationals. Lets make a difference together.

Girls Not Brides Uganda Central Central Region Members and partners are organizing the Central Region Girl Summit 2021 aimed at providing a safe platform to discuss issues related to how the Covid-19 Pandemic has, Increased Cases of GBV in Communities, exacerbated a high Increase in Teenage Pregnancies and Child Marriage and find out the best ways to work together in Unicorn to Support the affected Girls especially Rural and Ubarn Poor communities to overcome these challenges.

Working With Religious Leaders to End Child Marriage We have seen how important it is to work in partnership with Religious Leaders. They are well positioned to influence positive change among parents, local leaders and young people. While we are working partnership with them a Champions for Change in Isingiro District. They have greatly impacted lives of young people especially now as they resume school after 2 years of Lockdown. Our Champions are talking to parents about the importance of education and the dangers of child marriage.

A GIFT OF A WATER TANK MAKES LIFE MEANINGFUL FOR A SCHOOL GOING GIRL CHILD.

In our program of Keeping Girls in schools, we realized that some schools have no access to clean water. This puts the lives of girls at risk as they move long distances in search for water instead of being in class. Some girls have been raped and defiled as they search for water.
