“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams & are willing to fight for a world that is more just, more equal, & more free. Let us be the generation that dares to imagine a better tomorrow, & works tirelessly to make it a reality for all.”
Girls have the right to dream, explore and excel in any field they choose. It’s important that we remove barriers and Influence inclusive access to girls’ education. Girls too can be engineers, plumbers, carpenters, welders, mechanics and so much more. Let’s give them the opportunities to realize their dreams.
Education is an investment in the future of societies and a lifelong process that continues beyond formal schooling. It contributes to the development of human capital, innovation and sustainable development. Girls who receive an education are less likely to marry young and more likely to lead healthy and productive lives. They earn higher incomes, participate in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families. Girls’ education strengthens economies and reduces inequality.
This contributes to more stable, resilient societies that give all individuals including boys and men the opportunity to fulfil their potential. If all key stakeholders embrace education for all, this world will be a better place.
At Raising Teenagers Uganda, we support young girls to access education so that they can realize their full potential. We also challenge young people to take up any profession they feel capable including those that are viewed as male dominated carriers.
