On 19/02/2026, we witnessed an inspiring presentation as our girl champion, Anitah Ankunda motivated fellow young people at Raise Up A Child School, Namayumba. Having been with us throughout her entire secondary school education and now on her Form Six vacation, Anitah returned as a confident role model. Her words of encouragement deeply resonated with the pupils, demonstrating the long-term impact of consistent mentorship and guidance.
Our mentorship model intentionally promotes peer-to-peer learning, creating safe and supportive spaces where young people can share experiences, challenges and aspirations openly. Anitah’s transformation from participant to leader reflects the strength of this approach. Her growth is a testament to what is possible when young people are supported, nurtured and empowered to believe in themselves. Watching her inspire others reaffirmed our commitment to building confident and responsible leaders within their communities.
With the generous support of Mundo Cooperante under the #RightToBeAGirl project, we continue to advance our mission of making education accessible and breaking barriers that hinder girls’ education. During the engagement, we provided essential scholastic materials including books and school bags to pupils at Raise Up A Child School, Namayumba. Beyond material support, we shared affirmations and encouragement reminding learners that staying in school is a critical step toward achieving their dreams and building a brighter future.
We firmly uphold the principle that education is a right not a privilege. Together with our partners, we remain dedicated to ensuring that no child is left behind. Moments like these reaffirm that investing in education and mentorship is investing in the future and that future is indeed bright.
