On 12th April 2026, the world came together to celebrate International Good Deeds Day, a global movement that inspires people to make a positive difference through acts of kindness and compassion. This special day reminds us that even the simplest good deed can create a ripple effect that transforms lives and strengthens communities. It is a celebration of individuals and organizations that choose to be part of the solution by giving their time, energy and resources to causes that matter.
We were privileged to participate in the Kabaka Birthday Run, an initiative dedicated to the fight against HIV/AIDS and the goal of ending HIV by 2030. The event brought together people from all walks of life who share a common purpose: creating awareness, promoting prevention and supporting healthier communities. Every step taken was a symbol of hope, unity and commitment to a future where HIV is no longer a threat. The energy, passion and determination displayed by participants served as a powerful reminder that meaningful change happens when people come together for a greater cause.
As we reflect on International Good Deeds Day, we are encouraged by the impact that collective action can have on society. The experience taught us an important lesson: doing good is not an event reserved for one day on the calendar but a lifestyle that should guide our everyday actions. Whether through volunteering, supporting a cause, helping a neighbor or simply showing kindness to others because every contribution matters. Let us continue to raise awareness, inspire hope and build stronger, healthier communities because a better world is created when each of us chooses to do good every single day.
