CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY AT ST. JUDE PRIMARY SCHOOL IN HOIMA CITY.

We joined High Hope Uganda and other partners to mark International Youth Day in Hoima District at St. Jude Primary School, celebrating the potential of young people under the theme: “Unleash Your Potential. Ignite Your Purpose.”

It was a day filled with inspiration, encouragement and empowerment as we engaged with the pupils, reminding them to dream bigger and believe in their abilities. When young people are equipped and supported, their communities grow and on 12th, August was a living example of that truth.

Each partner had the opportunity to share messages of hope and motivation, emphasizing that with hard work, discipline and courage, every dream is valid and achievable. The pupils were reminded that their voices matter and that their energy and ideas have the power to create real change.

A special highlight of the day at St. Jude was sharing sanitary pads with pupils as well as female cleaners, caretakers, teachers and cooks, those often left out yet equally deserving of support. By addressing menstrual health openly, we are not only helping girls to stay in school but also building their confidence to fully unleash their potential.

We firmly believe that every girl deserves dignity and equal opportunity because when girls are supported, entire communities rise with them. The collective voices and solidarity made the day truly special, leaving every child motivated to ignite their purpose and pursue their dreams without fear.

International Youth Day at St. Jude Primary School was a reminder that with the right guidance, support and opportunities, young people can truly change the world.
