For many of the young women who graduated that day, it was about starting life again. On 26th March 2026, we joined Anthill Foundation, together with Girls Not Brides Uganda and Be Brave Uganda initiatives for their first graduation ceremony at Central Girls Vocational School in Masankwe, Luwero District. It was a simple but powerful event bringing together young women who have worked hard to change their stories.
Many of the graduates are young mothers who had at some point lost direction or faced difficult situations. Through the program, they were given another chance. They trained in skills like tailoring, hairdressing and entrepreneurship along with life skills that will help them manage their lives better.
You could see the pride on their faces. Not just for finishing the training but for what it means going forward being able to earn, support their children and stand on their own. The graduation showed something very clear: when young women are supported, they do not waste the opportunity. They push forward.
It also reminded us why second chances matter. Everyone deserves an opportunity to rebuild and do better. Programs like are about restoring dignity and giving people hope again. We appreciate the work that Anthill Foundation Uganda continues to do in supporting young women and changing lives. The impact goes beyond the individual, it reaches families and entire communities. As these young women move on to the next chapter, they carry confidence, resilience and a belief that their future can be different.
