WE ARE HELPING GIRLS TO MANAGE MENSTRUATION WITH DIGNITY - AFRIPADS UGANDA

In rural Schools, many girls miss school due to lack of sanitary pads. Some even lack access to knickers and as a result they tend to miss school when they are in their periods so that they are not humiliated and embarrassed by boys and male teachers. This affects their general performance in school and many times forces them to drop out of school. This means that the can not be in position to fulfill their dreams in life.

We have been supporting girls with reusable sanitary pads for 4 years now so that they can attend school every day of the term. We have seen this change lives of girls tremendously and we are not about to stop.

We have been supported by Afripads Uganda and other well wishers who make donations to support our work and this has made education possible for girls. With this current situation of COVID19 we know that many girls are facing various challenges including lack of sanitary pads which could lead to an increase in Teenage pregnancy as they look for pads from men who will want to use them sexually before providing the sanitary pads.
