EMPOWERING GIRLS TO RISE, LEAD AND SHINE

The month of October is dedicated to celebrating girls, their strength, potential and resilience. In that spirit, on 17th October, 2025 we joined AHF Uganda Cares and other key partners for the Post International Day of the Girl Child (#IDGC2025) celebration at St. Martin Mulago Primary School.

The day was filled with inspiration, motivation, mentorship and storytelling as young girls shared their experiences and dreams for the future. It was a moment that reaffirmed our collective commitment to ensuring that every girl is empowered to walk boldly toward her aspirations.

We were reminded that to #UniteForGirls is one of the greatest responsibilities of our time. As organizations, mentors and advocates, we stand together to remind every girl that the power to achieve her dreams already lies within her.

This celebration was a testament to the power of partnerships and collaboration. When like-minded organizations come together with a shared vision, transformation becomes inevitable. We are creating safe and inspiring spaces where girls can shine.

Our Executive Director, Ms. Hope Nankunda engaged the girls in an insightful discussion on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). She encouraged them to make intentional choices regarding their behavior, conduct and dress emphasizing confidence, self-respect and responsibility as key pillars of personal growth. Her message inspired the girls to embrace self-awareness and to take charge of their journeys with courage and purpose.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to AHF Uganda Cares and all the partners, educators and mentors who joined hands to make this day impactful. Together, we continue to raise a generation of girls who are informed and empowered to take up space in shaping their future and the world.

At Raising Teenagers Uganda, we remain committed to empowering every girl to rise, lead and shine.
